Research And Design Of Highway Electronic Signage Monitoring System Based On GIS

With the rapid development of urban intelligence,the electronic signage has become an important symbol of urban development and the image of the urban in addition to providing traffic information.As the demand for electronic signage increases,electronic signage related problems are increasing as well,for instance,stolen equipment,operating failures caused by broken wires,and inaccurate traffic signals caused by broken LED lights which leads to serious public traffic issues.Thus,it is urgent for the city to realize that electronic signage need to be systematically and electronically managed.This article,with data based on a Project of District Geographic Names Survey in Gaoling,using GIS technology application in the transportation field,studies and designs a system to monitor transportation electronic signage.The main research and design contents are as follows:(1)Through consulting lots of demostic and foreign research papers,this article reviews the history and status in quo of GIS,and put forward the main problems of management of traffic electronic signage.(2 Combining with GIS related studies,including GPS,GIS and wireless communication technologies,lists demanding analysis of systematic deign and designs a system structure model based on the demanding analysis.This model contains various functions: map demonstration,spatial positioning,malfunction warning,etc.(3)For the accuracy of the data and real-time update in the monitoring system,this article studies and improves algorithm which is the one of the main functions of this monitoring system.In addition,this article improves the accuracy of electronic signage including coordinate data,and spatial location in order for this monitoring system to be more advanced and effective.Through the research,this article constructed a Highway electronic sign monitoring system based on GIS,while improve the intelligent level and work efficiency of electronic signage management.Through the research,this article constructed a Highway electronic sign monitoring system based on GIS,while improve the intelligent level and work efficiency of electronic signage management.
