This thesis mainly reported the chemical constituents of three plants produced in Yunnan,Podocarpus nagi,Cosmos bipinnata Cav and Rauvolfia verticillata(Lour)Baill,Totally 37 compounds were isolated and identified from the three plants.10 compounds were isolated from the stems and leaves of Podocarpus nagi,including terpenoids,flavonoids,lignans and steroids.Their chemical structures were elucidated to be as nagilactone A(1),4?,10?,15-trihydroxy-aromadendrane-10,15-acetonide(2),amentoflavone(3),bilobetin(4),podocarpusflavone A(5),quercetin(6),(-)-catechin(7),prinsepiol(8),5 ?,6?-dihydroxysitosterol(9)and?-sitosterol(10)by spectroscopy analysis.Compounds 2-4,8 and 9 were firstly separated from this genus.17 compounds were isolated from the seeds of Cosmos bipinnata Cav,including flavonoids,lignans,steroids and aromatic compounds.Their chemical structures were elucidated to be as 2'-hydroxy-4,4'-dimethoxy-chalcone(11),butein(12),(E)-1-(4-hydroxy-2-methoxyphenyl)-3-(3-hydroxyl-4-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one(13),2',4',3,4,?-pentahydroxychalcone(14),luteolin(15),tricin(16),quercetin-5-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(17),quercetin(18),chrysoeriol(19),butin(20),balanophonin B(21),?-sitosterol(22),E-ferulic acid hexacosyl ester(23),3,4-dihydroxy-benzoic acid(24),n-butyl gallate(25),benzoic acid(26)and1-dotriacontanol(27)by spectroscopy analysis.All the compounds were isolated from the genus Cosmos Cav for the first time.From the stems and leaves of Rauvolfia verticillata(Lour)Baill,10 alkaloids were isolated,and their chemical structures were elucidated to be as rauverticine A(28),rauverticine B(29),tetraphyllicine(30),nortetraphyllicine(31),vinorine(32),rauverticine C(33),picrinine(34),vellosimine(35),strictamine(36)and tetrahydroalstonine(37)by spectroscopy analysis.Compounds 28,29 and 33 are novel,and compounds 31 were isolated from the genus Rauvolfia Linn,30-32 and33-37 were separated from Rauvolfia verticillata(Lour)Baill for the first time.Finally,the names,structures,sources and biological activities of 144 alkaloids in the genus Rauwolfia were reviewed.
