The molybdenum belt in East QinLing is located in the south rim of the North China plate, which is the most important molybdenum belt in China. The Huang Longpu molybdenum deposit in Shaanxi province is an unique ore deposit among all the Mo belt in East QinLing. This paper studied the regional geologic background, geological features and mineralization geological characteristics of Mo deposit in Huang Longpu, and got some achievements. This molybdenum deposit mainly occurs in Middle Proterzoic epimetamorphic basic volcanic rocks, and is a quartz carbonate vein deposit after mantle-derived magmatic stage. The isotopic age of molybdenum carbonate vein is 204~226Ma,thus it is speculated that the metallogenic epoch of this deposit ranges from the middle-late stage of Late Paleozoic to early Mesozoic, which can be divided into 3 phases concretely, namely the early mineralization period(quartz-sulfide stage),carbonate mineralization period(carbonate-sulfide stage)and supergene period(oxidation stage). The spilite developed in Xionger group exists some bigger facture structures, forming good migration channels and occurrence spaces for the ore solution.
