Located in south edge of Tuha basin in Xinjiang,Shihongtan uranium deposit is a typical braided fluviatile facies sandstone uranium deposit,in-situ leaching is adopted as a normal way of uranium mining.Due to complicated geological condition, there is great difficulty in mining,a major difficulty lies in that ore body planar distribution change is so big that boring is quite changeable during construction,so how to better predict the ore body boundary so as to reduce boring construction cost is a significant issue.Located on the south edge of Tuha Basin in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,Shihongtan uranium deposit is a typical sandstone-type uranium deposit with braided river facies and complex geological conditions.Influenced by its complicated and changeable ore body cross bedding of permeable layers and impermeable layers, and low permeability coefficient of ore-bearing aquifer etc.,this uranium deposit faces high production costs in the resource extraction process. In blocks where hydrological tests are not practical,it may provide comparative references for determining the permeability coefficient of other boreholes based on different lithologies by way of studying the permeability coefficient of ore-bearing aquifers in mineralized areas and analyzing the effects of different lithologies on the permeability coefficient in the borehole-filter production sections. On the basis of the permeability coefficients of Shihongtan uranium deposit's ore-bearing aquifers obtained via its geological data analysis and field hydrogeological tests combined with interlayer oxidation zone front line and planar distribution of industrial uranium ore body, this paper studies the relationships between permeability of mineralized strata and boundaries of ore body, and concludes the following findingsWhen the permeability coefficient of the ore-bearing aquifer falls in 0.3-0.72m/d,the maximum width of the ore body in the upstream direction of the oxidation reduction front line is between 150 and 200 m,and the width of the ore body in the downstream direction is about 50m;hen the permeability coefficient of the ore-bearing aquifer falls in 0.14-0.3 m/d,the width of the ore body in the upstream direction of the oxidation reduction front line is about 350 m,the maximum width in the downstream direction is 230 m,and most ore bodies' width in the downstream direction is about 50 m.It's also found that the larger the permeability coefficient of mineralized areas is,the narrower width the ore body planar distribution has,and vice versa.According to this relationship, when arranging boring, the boundary of the ore body can be predicted according to the permeability coefficient of the block section so as to reduce non-borehole construction. From the permeability coefficient of the ore-bearing aquifer,a qualitative assessment of the borehole water inflow in certain blocks may be made to provide references for subsequent drilling operation in mining areas in order to maximize the development of drilling production capacity and potentials, shorten the service life of the mining areas, thus further reducing related production costs.
