The bending fault is one of the most common forms of faults in nature,and oft-en generate major earthquake,So,in this study,finite element numerical simulation method was used to establish the two-dimensional model of bending fault,the proce-ss of stick-slip and its impact factors were simulated by contact analysis,To enrich t--he theory of earthquake prediction.Main contributions of this work are as follows:With the same geological background,the bending fault is more prone to large earthquakes than the straight fault.;When the bending angle of the fault is 5°,the seismic activity is relatively strong;With the bending angle change from 5° to 25°,t-he larger bending angle has stronger seismic activity,but the average interval betwe en the two events become shorter.Whith the same extrusion rate and the same the f riction coefficient,when the angle of bending fault is 5°,10°,15°,20°,25°,the maxim um displacement of earthquake is 8m,8.9m,10.2m,10.4m,11.1m,the average interval between the two events is 2565 years,3308 years,3583 years,4526 years,5375 years.With the extrusion tectonic stress,a bending fault can generate stick-slip,and m ajor earthquake;The position of the maximum displacement is the same,as the extru sion rates is different;Generally speaking,With the increasing of extrusion rate,the re currence interval of earthquakes become shorter,and the maximum displacement bec ome bigger;With the same geological background,when the extrusion rate is 4mm/a,5mm/a,6mm/a,7mm/a,8mm/a,the maximum displacement of earthquake is 6.7m,8m,9.5m,10.5m,11.2m,the earthquake average interval is 2965 years,2556 years,2647years,2432 years,2432years,2307 years.With the friction coefficient changing from 0.38 to 0.68,variations of the maxi mum displacement of earthquake are not obvious,the average interval of the earthq uake also showed a tendency to decrease at first and then increase;With the same g eological,when the friction coefficient is 0.38,0.48,0.58,0.68,the maximum displace ment is 7.6m,8.1m,7.3m,8m the average interval between the two events is 2286 year s,2184 years,2545years,2656 years.
