In this study,the leaf of Caragana korshinskii,Nitraria tangutorumand Ammopiptanthus mongolicus with natural growth in Badain Jaran Desert,Ulan–buh Desert,Tengger Desert and Kubuqi Desert were studied,leaf length and width were measured by vernier caliper,the transverse structure of the leaves was made by paraffin method,the anatomical structure was observed and measured by Motic Plus 2,including leaf thickness,upper and lower epidermal cell thickness,palisade tissue cell thickness of the leaflet and so on,to analyze and compare the morphological and anatomical differences of Caragana korshinskii,Nitraria tangutorum and Ammopiptanthus mongolicus leaves on 4 deserts.The relationship between the three plant structural indices and environmental parameters was obtained by SPSS 22.0.The main findings are as follows:(1)In the different growth environment,structure of epidermis,mesophyll and leaf vain were different,Badain Jaran Desert and Kubuqi Desert had significant difference on leaves of Caragana korshinskii and Nitraria tangutorum,Badain Jaran Desert and Tengger Desert had significant difference on leaves of Ammopiptanthus mongolicus.(2)In arid environment,leaf smaller and thicker,palisade tissues and vascular bundle were more developed.In the 4 deserts,Badain Jaran Desert was the most drought,the leaf thickness were heaviest,palisade tissues were most developed,including palisade cell tissues were longer,layer were longest,spongy parenchyma were most degraded and the amounts of vessel was maximum for three plants.For the Caragana korshinskii and Nitraria tangutorum,Kubuqi Desert had good rainfall,the leaf thickness was thinnest,palisade cell tissue were shortest and layer were least,the amounts of vessel was minimum,spongy parenchyma were heavier.For the Ammopiptanthus mongolicus,Tengger Desert had good rainfall,the leaf thickness was thinnest,palisade cell tissue were shortest and layer were least,the amounts of vessel was minimum,spongy parenchyma were heavier.(3)Correlation of anatomical structure indexes of leaflet and climatic factors were analyzed,the result showed that anatomical structure of leaflet were influenced by precipitation and temperature,the correlation between upper and lower epidermal cell thickness,palisade tissue cell length,spongy tissue and environmental parameters was great.
