The System Dynamics Simulation Involving The Evolution Of Recycling And Disposal Channel On E-Waste

The rapid development of science and technology makes electronic product updating constantly,followed by the problem of e-waste recycling.As for profit-driven,environmental consciousness and inconvenient formal channels,most e-wastes are recycled by vendors.Formal e-waste recycling channels may show higher price but more inconvenient than informal recycling channels,as a result,regular firm can hardly form scale utilization.Owing to the tendency of advocating environmentally friendly society,it is imperative to solve the problem of e-waste recycling channels.So this paper studies the incentive and constraint mechanism of recycling channel evolution by establishing an e-waste recycling System Dynamics Model.Firstly,based on the study on electronic waste recycling at home and abroad,and combined with the characteristics of electronic waste recycling channels and participants' preference and influential factors,this paper analyzes the purpose,assumptions,and boundaries of e-waste recycling channel evolution by establishing an e-waste recycling System Dynamics Model,so as to draw the stock flow chart of system dynamics which government,processors,recycling vendors and consumers participate in.In this model,the author sets five common household electronic wastes(TV set,refrigerator,washing machine,air conditioner,computer)as the research objects,and the benchmark of 2010 as the initial value,then conducts parameter sensitivity test,historical simulation test and extreme conditions,to explore the incentive and constraint mechanism of e-waste recycling channel evolution.Then,this paper respectively develops scene simulation and policy analysis from the formal and informal channels of e-waste recycling,analyzing and considering recycling system comprehensively.The research shows following results.Firstly,some measures motivate the development of informal e-waste recycling channels,such as vigorously supporting the establishment and development of formal recycling companies,encouraging and supporting e-waste formal recycling enterprise in technology innovation and increasing subsidies for formal recycling companies.Secondly,increasing the environmental cost of recycling vendor,strengthening the supervision of second-hand furniture market can restrict the development of the informal recycling channels.Thirdly,promoting propaganda investment of environmental protection,and strictly monitoring the design of scale efficiency can encourage the informal and formal recycling channels to integrate.Finally,based on the results of the study,the paper analyzes the result and fusion path of informal and formal recycling channels.Combining with the actual situation in our country,the author explores incentive and constraint mechanism of e-waste recycling channel evolution and makes constructive suggestions on e-waste recycling for the government.
