Identifying the target satellite is one of the important steps in the satellite laser ranging SLR(Satellite Laser Ranging)system to achieve tracking observation.At present,in the actual observation process,the satellite is usually monitored in real time by a CCD camera.The observer looks at the surveillance video to find the position of the target satellite and the laser beam in the field of view,and determines whether the laser beam is accurately directed to the target satellite.In most cases,due to ephemeris prediction error,laser beam pointing error,etc.,the laser beam will be directed to the target satellite,that is,the laser beam does not hit the satellite.At this time,the observer needs to manually adjust the telescope pointing.The laser beam is directed at the satellite to achieve tracking observations.Due to the weak satellite image signal and low signal-to-noise ratio,it is difficult for people to judge whether the SLR system tracks the observation whether it is off target,which greatly reduces the observation efficiency of the SLR system.In order to solve the situation that it is difficult to identify the target satellite when the SLR system observes the satellite,this paper designs an algorithm for realizing the SLR system to automatically identify the target satellite by using image processing technology.Based on Visual Studio 2015 and OpenCV 3.4.0 and Qt 5.9.6 development environment,the algorithm for implementing SLR target satellite recognition is written to realize the function of identifying and marking the target satellite in the field of view.The computer automatically recognizes the target satellite not only can effectively improve the observation efficiency of the satellite laser ranging system,but also help to improve the automation level of the satellite laser ranging system.The paper first explains the research background and significance of satellite identification in satellite laser ranging system.The second chapter expounds a satellite recognition scheme based on image processing,and gives the hardware system composition,software development environment,software design ideas and software function description of the scheme.The third chapter introduces the concepts and principles related to image graying and image binarization.For the image binarization method,three common binarization methods are listed,including threshold binarization and adaptive threshold binary.OTSU binarization,analysis and comparison of the processing effects and characteristics of various methods,and select the appropriate processing method.The fourth chapter studies the related concepts and principles of image integration and image filtering,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the mean filtering,Gaussian filtering,bilateral filtering and median filtering methods.Finally,the processing method suitable for SLR system observation scene is selected.Next,the concept of target recognition and target detection,moment correlation of image is described,and the realization principle and processing effect of Sobel operator,Prewitt operator,Canny operator,LoG operator and contour tracking algorithm in target contour detection are introduced.At the same time,the implementation process of satellite identification and labeling is described in detail.Multiple experiments on target satellites operating at different orbital heights can automatically identify high-orbit satellites glns131,low-orbit satellites Jason-2 and Jason-3,which indicates that the algorithm has certain accuracy,feasibility and practicability.
