Tidal energy is an inexhaustible renewable energy which does not consume fuel,is ecological,is not affected by flood or dry water,which has gradually become the focus of increasing attention.The coastline of China is long,and its geographical distribution is very uneven.Therefore,the location of tidal energy becomes one of the keys to its development and utilization.Based on FVCOM three-dimensional tidal current model,numerical simulation of offshore tidal current in China is studied.The tidal energy distribution and tidal energy location are analyzed by means of the tidal energy calculation formula.And considering the influence of sea level rise,the tidal current change,tidal energy distribution and location change are analyzed,which provides theoretical basis for the development,utilization and prediction of coastal tidal energy in China,and has high research value and practical significance.In the aspect of numerical simulation of offshore tidal current in China,unstructured triangular grid has natural advantages in fitting complex coastal lines and topography,and can be flexibly and conveniently encrypted locally where it's necessary.According to the acquired data,the model is set up,and the 15-day tidal current change process in the study area is simulated by using the separation algorithm of two-dimensional external model and three-dimensional internal model.The tidal level data of 10 stations in the coastal area of China during spring tide and neap tide are selected to verify the tidal level process during spring tide and neap tide in December 2017.The calculated results are in good agreement with the natural conditions.Then,the numercal results are post-processed by VisIt and Tecplot,the distribution of tidal level and flow field in the whole and local sea areas of China's offshore are analyzed,the results show that the whole fluctuation is consistent,there are differences in local fluctuation of offshore.Finally,considering the sea level rise,the tidal current changes in the whole and part of the coastal waters of China are analyzed and studied.The changes of the surface and vertical mean velocity of the large,medium and small tides and the water level of the high,medium and small tides are analyzed.The comparison results show that the tidal level and flow velocity increase with sea level rise,but variation range is not large.In the evaluation of tidal energy in China's coastal waters,the tidal energy assessment method is used to estimate the tidal energy of the whole coastal waters based on the simulation results of tidal current in the previous chapter,and the characteristics of tidal energy in local coastal waters are analyzed.Then,the numercal results are post-processed,the tidal energy distribution map of the whole and part of China offshore is made,and the location analysis of tidal energy is carried out.The sea areas being rich in tidal energy are mainly concentrated in the Beibu gulf,the coast of Zhejiang and Fujian province and the Taiwan strait.Considering the influence of sea level rise,the tidal energy changes in the coastal waters and local waters are studied under the condition of sea level rise of 0.6m and 1.2m respectively.The tidal energy distribution and site selection changes in the next 50 and 100 years respectively are analyzed and predicted.The results show that the sea areas with large tidal energy increase are concentrated in pearl river estuary,Hangzhou bay,Changjiang estuary and Taiwan strait,which will finally provide a brief assessment for the utilization and development of coastal tidal energy in China.
