Geological Characteristics And Prospecting Perspective Of Xiaobeigou Dongshan Gold Deposit In Jiapigou Ore-concentrated Area,Jilin Province

The Xiaobeigou Dongshan Gold Mine is located in the middle part of the famous Jiapigou ore-concentrated area,and is adjacent to Daxiangou Gold Mine on the south.The administrative division belongs to Jiapigou Town,Huadian City,Jilin Province.From the1970s to the end of 1990s,a large amount of basic geological work had been done in the research area by the 604 Party of Nonferrous Metal Geological Exploration Bureau of Jilin Province,mainly including large scale geological survey,geophysical and geochemical prospecting survey and a small amount of trenching explorations.These works basically completed the basic geological research,preliminarily identified the surficial gold mineralization types,and roughly understood the scale and distribution of the mineralization belt in the area.This paper was supported by“General exploration of Xiaobeigou Dongshan Gold Mine in Huadian city,Jilin province”project.The previous geological data was summarized.The ore body was delineated and the reserves were estimated,the geological characteristics of the ore body were summarized and the prospect of ore prospecting was predicted in the paper.Conclusions as follows:1.The Xiaobeigou Dongshan Gold Mine is a small-scale metamorphic hydrothermal type deposit.The ore body is mainly veined,and inclined to NE with a steep occurrence.The ore type is quartz-vein-type.The main mineral is pyrite and chalcopyrite.The wall rock alteration mainly includes silication,followed by chloritization and potassic alteration.2.The genesis of this deposit is closely related to the fault structure.Mineral deposit is obviously controlled by N-W trended ductile shear zone,N-S trended and N-E trended faulted structures.3.A total of 14 valuable industrial ore bodies were found,with estimated reserves of about 2t,and the average grade of the deposit was 8.59 x 10^-6.4.The disseminated gold in the primary source bed were remobilized and removed,resulting from the regional metamorphism,magma intrusion,and ductile deformation,subsequently entered into the fluids sourced from deep-seated ore-bearing fluids,magmatic water,as well as a small amount of meteroic water.The gold-bearing minerals in the evolved fluids were finally deposited at the low-pressure dilatant zones.Therefore,this deposit belongs to hydrothermal gold deposit.5.Except the No.15-1 ore body was exposed on the surface,all other ore bodies were under the ground with a depth of 0m²80m and an elevation of 591m³11m.Meanwhile,it is found that the ore body tends to thicken and become higher in ore grade during the actual exploration with its depth,and it can be concluded that the prospect of ore prospecting for this deposit is below elevation of 300m.
