The Qimantage area is located in the western part of the East Kunlun orogenic belt,the southwestern margin of the Qaidam Basin to the north and northwest near Altun.Magmatic structure area is belonged to East Kunlun arc basin system,located in north Kunlun multi circle structure magmatic belt,the magmatic activity in study area is very strong.It has experienced at least four tectonic cycles of proterozoic Paleozoic formation,early Paleozoic rifting and orogeny,late Paleozoic-early Mesozoic rifting orogeny and late Mesozoic-Cenozoic superimposed orogeny.Magmatic activities are very strong and widely distributed,including the caledonian,huaric,indosinian,and so on,mainly huaric and indosinian.Metallogenic belts for Qimantage-Dulan Variscan iron,cobalt,copper,lead,zinc,tin,wollastonite(antimony,bismuth)metallogenic belt.The relative mining type mainly is contact metasomatism skarn and hydrothermal type,from the metallogenic time,the Indo late mineralization mineralization is the best,and formed a certain industrial value of deposits.There are porphyry and BIF tye,The BIF mainly consists of iron and graphite ore.Studies have shown that,BIF is a unique geological product of the Precambrian,which mainly appeared in the late archean to early proterozoic.The strata in the study area are mainly composed of shallow Marine clastic rock,carbonate rock and basic volcanic rock.The discovered magnetite bodies are mainly distributed in gneiss and plagioamphibolite of paleoproterozoic baisha-river formation,and they have obvious zonal distribution in space.At or near the axis of the anticline,the ore body is relatively rich and thick,and the tectonic activity in the northwest direction of the same period provides dynamic conditions for the re-activation,migration and enrichment of the mineral.Geophysical magnetic anomaly is a direct and effective method to find magnetite,especially for concealed ore bodies,which is the most important prospecting sign.Therefore,it is feasible to delineate the prospective area according to geophysical magnetic anomaly combined with geological background.Through the in-depth analysis of the ore-forming geological conditions in the ore deposit area and two mining areas,the ore-controlling factors and prospecting signs were summarized,and the combined control of the iron deposits in this area was further revealed.By carrying out geological exploration at different levels,two mineralization prospects have been delineated in the magnetic anomaly area,and it is expected to find larger scale ore bodies.
