Interaction between fluid and solid structure widely exists in engineering problems, such as ocean, water conservancy, shipping, aviation, nuclear power and chemical industry, which is the so-called fluid-structure interaction. The fluid-structure interaction between pipeline and fluid is not fully understood for a long time.At the same time, failures resulting from the fluid-structure interaction of mechanical system or pipeline system occur occasionally. Therefore, research is indeed necessary to study the influence of fluid-structure interaction to the safety of pipelines, which is essential to design pipeline systems with high reliability. This paper focuses on the vibration of pipeline systems with the fluid-structure interaction. The main contribution of this paper is summarized as follows:1.The basic theory of the fluid-structure interaction is summarized in detail.Definitions related to solid domain and fluid domain are introduced, and the basic idea of the finite volume method and the finite element method is summarized briefly.Dynamic model, fundamental equation and boundary conditions for fluid-structure interaction are illustrated, based on which the numerically analytical method of fluid-structure interaction is studied. The application of the numerically analytical method is discussed systematically.2.The basic of modal analysis and the modal analysis of pipeline systems with the fluid-structure interaction are studied.Comparison between results from numerically analytical solution and numerical simulation demonstrates the accuracy of the numerical simulation. After that, results of model analysis of pipes with and without fluid-structure interaction are compared for straight pipes and elbow ones. The difference of natural frequencies between pipes with and without fluid-structure interaction is also studied. The natural frequency of pipes with fluid-structure interaction varies with pressure, which is investigated.3.Pipeline systems with the fluid-structure interaction are studied with the favor of the software ANSYS Workbench. Results from pipes with different ways of support, different lengths, different flow velocities and different loading methods are compared in details.All3D models above are built with the software Solidworks.Research mentioned above studies pipe systems with fluid-structure interaction elementarily and provides the simulation results of model analysis and vibration. All results are analyzed systematically. The comparisons among results are able to provide references for engineering applications when the selections of the length, the way of support and the distance between supports are needed.
