In May 2014,the State Council ratified and agreed to relocate the People's Government of Nanping City to JianYan District.As the Center of Nanping after the relocation,Wuyi New Area will become an important transportation hinge and central city in Northern Fujian.As thefast development of local economic will inevitably leads to an increasing demand for water resourses,which will lead to irreversible deterioration of water quality.Therefore,the research of the hydrochemical characteristics of groundwater,its formation law and the evaluation of groundwater qualitu in Wuyi New Area has become a decisive part for the regional development.This paper is a branch of“1:50000 Geological Environment Survey in Wuyi New Area”project,it investigates the area of more than 2000 square kilometers in new area,and studies groundwater chemistry of different aquifer systems in Wuyi New Area by using 69 samples collected from different aquifers,statistical characteristics analysis of water quality indicators,combined with hydrochemical tyes,ion ratio analysis,Gibbs maps,Piper maps and so on.Academic the chemical characteristic and their causes in this area,the groundwater quality is evaluated comprehensively.The survey found that there are four types of strata and landforms in the Proterozoic,Mesozoic and Quaternaey in Wuyi New Area.The groundwater in the study area can be divided into five types:the pore water of loose rockers of the Quaternary,the pore water of clastic rocks of the Triassic-Cretaceous,the fissure water of metamorphic rocks,the fissure water of metamporphic rocks,the fissure water of intrusive rocks,and the vein water system of faulted structures.The hydrochemical characteristics of groundwater in this area are mainly Ca-Na-HCO3 type water and HCO3-Cl-Ca-Na type water with low TDS.Ca2+?Na+?HCO3-?Cl-in groundwater are the main chemical composition of groundwater.There are related to the dissolution of silicate minerals and carbonate minerals.The natural mechanism affecting the chemical composition of groundwater is rock control mechanism and atmospheric precipitation mechanism.The water quality of the study area is good entirety,and only a few sampling points found that the water quality exceeded the standard.
