Storm surges cause huge economic losses every year in China's coastal areas. Therefore, the study of storm surges is very urgent and necessary.Due to the complexity of the marine environment and the lack of marine data, numerical simulation has become the mainstream research method. However in previous studies,a single numerical model was commonly used to study, these models ignore some important interaction such as the interaction between air and sea and the interaction between wave currents. This approach may cause certain deviations between simulation results and actual conditions. The establishment of a suitable atmosphere-ocean-wave coupled numerical model can more accurately simulate the dynamic processes in the ocean. In this paper, the atmosphere-ocean-wave coupled model in South China Sea and the Bohai Sea was established and simulate the storm surge. The storm surge simulation was driven by reanalysis data or WRF calculations. The comparison of the calculation results shows that the spatial-temporal accuracy of the wind field has a great influence on the coupling calculation results. The high spatial-temporal accuracy wind field calculated by WRF accurately describes the wind field changes in a short period of time. Therefore, the storm surge simulation results based on this driving field are closer to the measured data and improve the simulation accuracy for storm surge.Through the comparison of the fully coupled WRF+ROMS+SWAN and WRF+SWAN and WRF+ROMS,the interaction between wave currents during storm surge is fully illustrated. When the ROMS is not coupled, due to the absence of sea surface temperature,an important air-sea exchange parameter, the wind field results have a certain deviation. At the same time, due to the absence of flow field the wave height also has changed. When the wave mode is not involved in the calculation, due to the lack of influence of wave generation and development on the sea surface wind stress change and wave radiation stress, the results of the tidal level simulation show a decrease compared with the full coupling mode. The coupled numerical model used in this paper is based on MCT for data exchange.Analysis of the impact on the data exchange time interval shows that when the time interval is short, the change of this parameter has little effect on the coupling calculation result, but when the time interval Increasing continuously, this parameter has a significant influence on the calculation.Especially for the storm surge process in which the wind speed will change rapidly in a short time,a long interval will result in the inaccurate transfer of atmospheric changes to the ocean and wave modes, resulting in reduced calculation accuracy.
