In recent years,with the substantial increase in the demand for oil and gas resources,the research hotspot is the axial transition zone of baiyun sag in the pearl river estuary basin with great exploration prospects.Study area planning axial transformation zone under the background of tectonic geomorphology epicontinental tectonic evolution sedimentary simulation experiment,the sink of axial transformation belt at the sedimentary dynamics mechanism under the background of tectonic geomorphic units of sedimentary process and sedimentary dynamic evolution,sedimentary unit group,to effectively guide the high quality sandstone reservoir effective hydrocarbon source and reservoir distribution laws.Baiyun sag of pearl river mouth basin axial transformation belt belongs to continental margin to the underwater part of the southern uplift belt,in the southern depression belt,fault terrace zone in the north of the central uplift belt,the northern sag and the pearl river mouth basin is from the south to the north of 5 NE to the distribution of large tectonic units,each of these important secondary tectonic unit can be divided into low uplift,the secondary tectonic units are also can be divided into a number of sag.Baiyun depression mainly experiences three stages: rift fault depression,fault depression and thermal subsidence depression.The pearl river estuary basin changed from the Mesozoic orogeny to the Cenozoic in the spreading margin,which was formed by the Cenozoic volcanic eruption.The favorable place for oil and gas accumulation is continental shelf marginal deltas,because continental shelf marginal deltas are characterized by large longitudinal thickness and wide plane distribution.Under the influence of climate,paleogeography,provenance supply,sea level change and major tectonic events,baiyun sag has formed a three-layer structure of fault depression,fault extension and depression in the vertical direction.At the same time,baiyun sag has also formed a multi-type basin superimposed sedimentary system.These influences restrict and influence the distribution and enrichment of oil and gas and the formation of oil and gas.The distribution of the experimental sand bodies on both sides of the high elevation of the axial transition zone in baiyun depression in the working area was studied by using the method of flume sedimentation simulation.Typical and large-scale axial transition zones are densely distributed in the offshore waters of our country,and the most significant breakthrough in oil and gas exploration is the discovery of the axial transition zone in baiyun depression of the pearl river estuary basin,which has attractedworldwide attention for its very large exploration prospect.Therefore,an important task for China's scientific and oil and gas community is to study the axial transition zone of baiyun depression in the pearl river estuary basin.
