Tectonic geodesy is an interdisciplinary field that studies the tectonic activity of the crust and its deep fundamental kinematics and dynamics mechanisms using geodetic observation techniques.With the rapid development of morden geodetic technologies such as the Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS),Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(InSAR)and Satellite gravity measurements,tectonic geodesy has been an important branch of geoscience and an extremely active research direction.In tectonic geodesy discipline,Generic Mapping Tools(GMT)is the most widely used data visualization software.As it's written for command-line usage,numerous arguments have to be set when using GMT,which brings deficiencies of high learning cost,non-visual operation,and cumbersome steps to fine-tuning the map elements.Based on the QGIS interface and the Qt Creator Cross-Platform Integrated Development Environment(IDE),a user-friendly 64-bit tectonic geodesy mapping software is developed.In this paper,the work in design and develop detailly introduced,and the functions of rendering and mapping are highlight through three cases: the geologic map of Papua New Guinea,the seismicity in China and surrounding regions,the seismicity and crustal deformation the Tibetan Plateau and the coseismic deformation of the 2017 Jiuzhaigou,China,earthquake.The software implements the basic GIS function and can be used as a lightweight desktop GIS software for daily use.It realizes the drawing of generic elements such as active faults,velocity fields,strain fields,rotation rate fields and focal mechanism solutions and provides necessary data processing tools and complete mapping capabilities.The 64-bit tectonic mapping software developed in this paper has good data compatibility and user-friendly interactive mapping method.The simple operation can effectively reduce the user's learning cost and the time cost of mapping.
