3D laser scanning technology develops with the continuous development of science and technology.It is of great significance to the development of Surveying and mapping industry and it has sped up the pace of Surveying and mapping career to a great extent.The main advantage of 3D scanning technology is that it can get the point cloud data of the detailed characteristics of the object without touching the object.Through data processing,it can directly show the geometric information on the surface of the target and construct a 3D solid model of the target vividly.Moreover,through a targeted data processing,the complex information in massive point cloud data can be read from it,which can serve the practical engineering.This paper mainly studies the data processing part of 3D scanning technology.The study firstly obtains the massive point cloud data of the entity from three-dimensional scanning and then carries on the pretreatment of the point cloud data which mainly includes the point cloud denoising and point cloud simplification process,mainly includes the point cloud denoising and point cloud simplification process,The study makes a detailed comparison between the different point cloud processing methods,in order to find the most suitable point cloud processing method.At the same time,the method of 3D modeling is introduced,and the whole process of modeling is realized by an example.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)In the part of point cloud denoising,described in detail the use of inheritance PCL function of point cloud simplification after denoising process.At the same time,multi step denoising method is adopted to remove noise..Firstly,the maximum connected region removal of outliers and non outlier is removed through plane fitting.Through experimental analysis,the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods are compared.(2)in the point cloud simplification,the study firstly goes through the point cloudsimplification through making use of traditional curvature method and bounding box method,and then puts forward the feature point extraction method of point cloud simplification,namely extracting the feature point data in the point cloud data based on the principle of feature point in the point cloud data,so as to realize the process of point cloud simplification.(3)in the part of 3D modeling,the thesis introduces the characteristics of NURBS surface and the advantages of three-dimensional reconstruction and then carries on the three-dimensional modelling through the use of geomagicstudio software,then use of geomagicstudio software for three-dimensional modeling,Through experimental analysis,the thesis explains the whole process of NURBS surface reconstruction in detail.
