With the economic and social development of the world, the demand for energy is increasing. However, fossil energy which occupies main part of world energy,is facing the problem of exhaustion and environmental pollution,so that the development of renewable energy is imminent.Wave energy is an energy source with high energy density, wide distribution, abundant reserves and great potential for application.Through the study of the ocean,it is found that there is energy difference, which is called the differential energy of the wave in this paper, between the wave area on the ocean surface and the stable area in the depth of more the 20 meters below the horizontal surface. The floating wave energy converter studied in this paper mainly utilizes the component of the differential energy of the wave in the vertical direction to generate electricity. With the combination of stator guide blades and rotor blades in the turbine, the rotor can keep one-way rotating motion under the reciprocating fluid action. The contents of this paper mainly include the following aspects:(1)Based on the linear wave theory, the force acting on the floating platform, the force acting on the turbine, the moment acting on the rotor blades, the rotate speed of the rotor and the conversion efficiency of the turbine and the converter are studied theoretically.(2)The small-sized prototypes of the turbine are made by 3D printers to test the runway speed of the rotor in wind tunnel.Compare this runway speed with that one calculated by CFD software in order to verify the accuracy of the fluid simulation calculation.(3)By using the method of orthogonal experimental design and fluid simulation calculation, the effects of three parameters of the turbine on the maximum rotate speed, maximum power, axial force and pressure difference between inlet and outlet of the turbine are analyzed,in order to optimize the performance of the turbine in the future.(4)The shortcomings of the current converter are analyzed, then optimize the design of the converter with reference to the blade design scheme of swept-back wind turbine, the blade optimization design scheme of pulse turbine and other wave energy extracting devices, draw the three-dimensional model and manufacture a prototype of the turbine by 3D printer.
