This thesis takes the carbonate reservoir of Mishrif formation as an example,in view of the carbonate rock is highly affected by sedimentary and diagenesis, that result in the carbonate lithology is very complex, the co mposition is changing, the pore types are varied, the pore structure is complex, the difference of reservoir physical properties is very big,the reservoir heterogeneity is serious, the precise distribution of high permeability is very difficult. We combined the data of core, thin section, scanning electron microscopy, mercury injection, mud logging, well logging, testing, production and so on,comprehensive research on the reservoir from qualitative and quantitative. There are 8 kinds of lithology,10 types of reservoir rock.We use the casting thin sections, capillary pressure curve, core analysis on the reseach of pore structure characteristics, establishing the standard of corresponding property, flow unit and microscopic parameters, and build the comprehensive classification of the reservoir.Getting clear of the reservoir heterogeneity from the and micro and the distribution of reservoir.Analysis the main control factors of reservoir quality from the structure, sedimentary and diagenetic,we know that the reservoir is mainly a ffected b y deposition and diagenesis. We evaluated the reservoir from lithology, physical property, rock types, pore structure, heterogeneity, reservoir classification,sediment,diage-nesis and reservoir distribution. The reservoir with good physical property is mainly composed of intergranular pores and dissolution pores, the pore throat structure is mainly composed of coarse pores and large throats, the seepage capacity is also very good and the productivity is higher.
