Comprehensive Study Of Log And Geology Of Low Resistivity Oil Reservoirs In N Oilfield In Sudan

The study of low resistivity reservoirs is a complex and difficult problem.For many years,the low resistivity reservoirs have been found in many oilfields in and abroad.The causes of low resistivity reservoirs are complicated,it is always a difficult point for reservoir identification and evaluation.The study proves that the low resistivity reservoirs have great potential for development.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to carry out comprehensive research on it.Low resistivity reservoirs exist widely in N oilfield.In order to comprehensively analyze the low resistivity reservoirs,the geological structure background,sedimentary background and reservoir characteristics are analyzed.The characteristics and causes of low resistivity reservoirs are analyzed,there are mainly the complex pore structure,high shale content,and clay mineral additional conductivity.Three methods are proposed,which are cross plot identification method,MDT technique rapid identification method and multi well reservoir correlation identification method.Then quantitative evaluation of low resistivity oil reservoirs are carried out,it is found that Indonesia method is more accurate in calculating water saturation of low resistivity reservoirs in N oilfield.Finally,the distribution of low resistivity reservoirs is explored,the low resistivity reservoirs are mainly concentrated in the AG layer.This paper applies the result of low resistivity reservoirs to N oilfield,it is proved that low resistivity reservoirs can increase expected reserves and production,which provides new ideas for oilfield exploration and development.
