With the development of computer technology and GIS technology,traditional geological data analysis and management methods based on manual and paper quality will be replaced by computer hardware,spatial analysis and resource allocation as the main content of geographic information technology.Towards the development of automated collection,analysis and management of geoscience information.Coalbed methane exploration and development has been nearly 40 years old,but geographic information system(GIS)technology has not been successfully applied to this field.At present,there is no complete set of GIS management software for coalbed methane exploration and development,even in foreign countries.Therefore,in order to improve management efficiency,it is urgent to independently develop a set of information system management software for coalbed methane exploration and development.Based on the in-depth analysis and research on the relevant data and software of coalbed methane exploration and development at home and abroad,this paper attempts to apply GIS and related technologies to the CBM exploration and development management system.Combined with the actual situation of coalbed methane exploration and development in Zhengzhuang block of Xishan coalfield in Shanxi,integrated management and analysis of well location information,drainage data and geological data in the process of coalbed methane drainage.A management system based on data storage to analysis in the process of coalbed methane exploration and development is proposed.Based on the research,the system is divided into three modules: data storage module,data analysis module and GIS visual analysis module.The data storage module is based on the PostgreSQL database and uses ADO.NET technology to interact with the desktop application,the data analysis module is a mathematical method for realizing some coalbed methane exploration for C#-based desktop applications,the GIS visual analysis module is based on the open source GIS class library DotSpatial.The CBM exploration and development information management system supported by geographic information system(GIS)technology has many outstanding advantages in regional geological information spatial visualization,spatial information sharing and auxiliary decision-making.Its development will bring a lot of convenience for data management and analysis and information inquiry in the exploration and development of coalbed methane,and inject new vitality into the modern management of coalbed methane exploration and development in China,and achieve efficient and sustainable development.
