In this paper,we consider the accretion onto a Schwarzschild-like black hole and the accretion onto a Tangherlini-Reissner-Nordstrom black hole.We firstly analysis the accretion onto a Schwarzschild-like black hole under the framework of 4-Dimensional general relativity.Under the hypotheses that the back-reaction is neglected and the number of particles is conserved,we obtain the basic equations for the accretion flow of matter;we determine the expression of the critical point and the physical conditions that the critical point should satisfy.For application,we analysis the mass accretion rate M for polytrope gas and compute the gas compression and the adiabatic temperature distribution at the horizon Tr=rH and at the outer horizon where the critical radius fulfills rH<r<rc.Secondly,we analysis the accretion onto a Tangherlini-Reissner-Nordstrom black hole.We determine the basic equations of adiabatic accretion for symmetrical steady material flow;we also determine the ratio of the mass of black hole to the charge of black hole and the physical conditions that the critical points should satisfy,we calculate the mass accretion rate M for polytrope gas;we find that the accretion rate is dependent not only on the black hole's mass and charge,but also on the dimension of spacetime:the larger the dimension of spacetime,the smaller the mass accretion rate.
