Lightning is a serious natural disaster,which not only causes casualties and damages to buildings,electronic equipment,transmission lines and communication equipment,but also causes serious fire and explosion accidents caused by lightning,which seriously threatens the safety of human life and property.In recent years,with the development of social economy and the improvement of modernization level,especially the rapid development of information technology,the damage degree of lightning disasters and the economic loss and social impact are also increasing.Therefore,it is necessary to develop regional lightning warning system,and it is of great practical significance to carry out lightning warning and forecast for professional users for key lightning protection units,as well as the inherent demand of protecting people's life and property and building a harmonious society.WebGIS(network geographic information system)refers to the GIS that works on the Web,which is the extension and development of the traditional GIS on the network.With the characteristics of traditional GIS,WebGIS can realize the basic functions of GIS such as the retrieval,query,cartographic output and editing of spatial data,as well as the basis of geographical information release,sharing and communication on the Internet.WebGIS is a new technology which USES Web technology to expand and perfect geographic information system.Integrated lightning warning management platform combined with WebGIS is a new research direction in the field of weather forecasting.Combined with the spatial data,a visual query analysis method is provided to carry out the numerical calculation in the spatial range,which provides a new scientific basis for lightning warning,and simultaneously conducts the visual verification of the prediction results.By referring to related software proddevelopment theories of WebGIS,this paper compares and analyzee real-time reception and display of several different regional atmospheric lightning attribute data,and realizes the comprehensive query and statistical analysis of multi-regional data.The lightning location technology is used to predict the movement direction of lightning,and the key technologies such as real-time display in WebGIS.At present,the integrated lightning warning management system developed based on the front-end WebGIS framework MapBox with VS2013 as the programming tool has passed the acceptance check of relevant information management departments and achieved certain social benefits.
