The anemometer is measuring instrument used in safety controlling and environment monitoring,the measurement accuracy is highly requested.It needs to be calibrated before use.However,the existing anemometer calibration rules are mostly used for cup anemometer which is used in meteorological industry.There is a lack of theoretical and experimental research on the calibration of impeller anemometer widely used in production and research.Before the impeller anemometer is used to measure the wind speed,it need to be calibrated with standard wind tunnel of the fluid lab,but when the area ratio between the impeller and the standard wind tunnel outlet surface is larger than 0.05,the measured wind speed of the anemometer must be corrected.The outlet diameter of the standard wind tunnel in the fluid laboratory is small,it is necessary to develop a correction method for it.In order to solve this problem,according to the requirement of the anemometer verification procedure,CFD method was used to calibrate the measured velocity of the same anemometer in wind tunnels with different outlet areas and the measured velocity of anemometers with different impeller diameters in the same wind tunnel.According to the relationship between the torque on the impeller and the measured wind speed,the correction formula of the wind measuring value of the impeller anemometer is put forward.Based on this formula,a preliminary impeller anemometer correction method is promoted.With the correction method,the impeller anemometer can be calibrated with small diameter wind tunnel.
