With the development of the oil and gas industry, exploration targets have gradually shifted from conventional reservoirs to deep and complex reservoirs.Seismic forward modeling mainly studies the propagation law of seismic waves, which can accurately simulate underground complex structures through forward modeling.Seismic inversion is one of the key methods of reservoir prediction, which based on the propagation law of seismic waves. Therefore,we can study the propagation law of the wave field through the forward modeling method in order to improve the accuracy of inversion and achieve the purpose of accurately portraying the reservoir. This paper took the case of reservoir prediction of the Dongying Formation in the west of Shengli Oilfield as the main line. For the problem of poor seismic data quality and difficult identification of the top interface of the Dongying Formation,we used the following methods to solve these problems.Viscoacoustic wave forward modeling was used to identify the exact location of the top of the Dongying Formation. The frequency technique was used to process the seismic data. The phased-control inversion technique was used combing with geological and well logging data to characterize the reservoir distribution in the area. The results corresponded with the actual situation and showed a high-resolution profile, which can better optimize the exploration targets and lay a good foundation for the next exploration and development.
