Cultural relics carry the glorious history of China for 5,000 years,it is the witness and recorder of culture.Traditional methods of cultural relics protection are difficult to cope with the increasingly complex social environment and increasing demand for protection of cultural relics.Digital cultural relic protection technology was born with the popularity of 3D digital measurement technology.now it is widely used in various scenes.it is crucial to get complete 3D data of cultural relics.Traditional manual acquisition method to obtain complete point cloud include pasting the marks on cultural relics and collecting data multiple times.But it cannot record artifacts that are too large,too small,or immovable.The current automatic registration methods have large errors and are difficult to apply to high-precision applications.To solve such problems,the research on registration of cultural relics based on feature extraction technology is carried out.This article uses laser scanners to obtaining 3D point cloud of cultural relics and perform registration experiments on the debris point clouds.Finally,a fast and high-precision method of cultural relics registration is obtained.The main research works are as follows:1)Preprocessing the acquired point cloud data:point cloud denoising and segmentation.Retaining the cultural relic data in point clouds2)Using the self-built curvature entropy algorithm to sampling the acquired cultural relic data,getting sparse cultural relic point clouds with rich features.3)Using the FPFH algorithm based on bulk density optimization to extract the features of the sampled debris point cloud,and registering to get the transformation matrix one by one.4)According to the obtained matrix,the position of the original fragment is transformed at one time.Getting the final high-precision cultural relic registration results quickly.Through the method mentioned in the article,the fast and automatic registration of cultural relics is achieved.Compared with the traditional method,the overall registration accuracy is improved by 8.6%.
