The global history since the 18 th century has repeatedly proved that the industrialization process with manufacturing as the core determines the destiny of a country.Only when a country takes the lead in mastering a strong manufacturing industry, can it significantly increase productivity, thereby improving economic quality, protecting people's livelihood, and strengthening the military. With the popularization and application of a new generation of information technology represented by big data, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence, data as a production factor has broken the limitations of time and space to achieve agglomeration in virtual space, and has revolutionized the manufacturing, management, and agglomeration of manufacturing.Way to become a new engine of economic growth. At present,China's level of virtual agglomeration ranks among the global leaders. How to take advantage of the huge potential advantages of China's virtual agglomeration to achieve the deep integration of new-generation information technology and modern manufacturing is a major historical opportunity for China in the context of unprecedented changes in a century. This article reviews the integration effects, modularization effects, complementary effects, and acceleration effects of virtual agglomeration and manufacturing industry, and uses the extended D-S model to incorporatevirtual agglomeration into the spatial economics analysis framework. Then, the four major effects of the virtual agglomeration and manufacturing transmission relationship are demonstrated through specific cases, and the data of 285 prefecture-level cities in China from 2003 to 2016 are used to construct a simultaneous equation model for empirical testing.Research shows that:(1)Virtual agglomeration and manufacturing have an interactive transmission relation, and the improvement of the level of virtual agglomeration significantly improves the innovation ability of manufacturing. At the same time, the manufacturing industry has significantly increased the level of virtual agglomeration, and the two have formed an endogenous and benign closed loop, which promotes the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the accelerated iteration.(2)In the interactive transmission relation,it can be further divided into four major effects according to different characteristics:the new generation of information technology gathers the supply and demand sides in the virtual space of the Internet platform as a carrier, and effectively promotes China's big market through the integration effect;virtual agglomeration helps to enhance the information integration and collaboration capabilities of the manufacturing industry, and has changed the original linear production mode through the use of modular effects toachieve modular production that responds quickly to consumer demand.Agglomeration does not replace geographic agglomeration, but rather they form complementary effects;the interaction relation can play an accelerated effect to achieve a more efficient evolution than traditional models.(3)Human capital accumulation in the interactive relation plays an important role. The article specifically puts forward suggestions to seize the wave of the digital age,Guide the regional division of labor cooperation, and bring into play the talent dividend effect. The conclusion of the article is of great academic value and research significance for shaping new competitive advantages and advancing the integration of industrialization and industrialization,so as to successfully implement the strategy of strengthening the manufacturing country.
