Direct shear test is the most commonly used method to obtain the shear strength index of soil.Compared with the indoor test,the field shear test is conducted in the in-situ soil.The sample size is large,which can better reduce the impact of size effect,relatively maintain the natural structure of the field undisturbed soil,more close to the actual situation of the soil,and can obtain more accurate and reliable shear strength index in line with the actual engineering and technical requirements.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to obtain shear strength parameters of undisturbed soil by direct shear test on site in slope engineering,which can provide more accurate calculation parameters for stability analysis of waste slag landfill slope.In this paper,the field direct shear test is carried out based on the Fengshan mine geological environment control project.Firstly,the paper summarizes the practical application of direct shear test,the numerical simulation of direct shear test and the research status of slope stability analysis at home and abroad.Secondly,the shear resistance of the waste landfill was evaluated based on the field direct shear test.Finally,ABAQUS finite element software was used to simulate and restore the direct shear test to verify the correctness of the numerical simulation method,and the shear strength index obtained from the direct shear test was used to simulate and analyze the slope stability under different working conditions.The results show that the shear stress displacement relationship,strength index and other test results are obtained by large-scale direct shear test in thefield.According to the shear strength indexes c and ? of each group of tests,the shear strength of the soil in this area can be evaluated.And the relative error between the results of direct shear test and field direct shear test is small.ABAQUS software was used for slope stability simulation analysis.The results show that compared to natural working conditions,the displacement and stress of the slope increase under the rainfall condition.In addition,the safety factor of the slope under the rainfall condition is less than that under the natural condition.The safety factor of the slope under the natural condition is 1.09?1.54 times of the safety factor of the slope under the rainfall condition,but all of them are in the stable range.Therefore,the rainfall is unfavorable to the slope stability.
