With the global attention to water resources and the development of water conservancy discipline,the research area of water resources system is expanding day by day,and water resources system problem has become a major strategic issue for country's sustainable and stable development.However,there are few reports on the current research of water resources system for visual analysis and identification.With the development of big data and artificial intelligence,the development of modern natural science urgently needs to integrate the scattered knowledge of the existing research,so as to promote the further development of natural science.In order to quickly and accurately mine valuable information from a large number of water resources system problem data,grasp the research hotspot and problems in the field of water resources,this paper adopts the research approach of bibliometrics,information visualization technology and water resources theory,focusing on typical water resources system problems,CNKI database and WOS database are used as document data sources,and VOSviewer which is a bibliometrics software,is used to analyze and identify the research status,research hotspot and development trend of these typical water resource system problems,so as to provide references for solving the existing problems in water resource management and constantly promote the development of water resources discipline,and has achieved the following main results:(1)Using VOSviewer to draw the knowledge map of the relevant literature in the field of natural disaster risk prevention and control research,the evolution characteristics of natural disaster risk prevention and control research are analyzed and identified.The results show that there have been four important research hotspots: "flood and drought disaster management","disaster risk prevention and control","disaster vulnerability" and "disaster impact".Among them,"flood and drought disaster management" is the hottest research cutting-edge in this field,"disaster risk prevention and control" is a new development trend of natural disaster management,"disaster vulnerability" and "disaster impact" are the main objects of "disaster risk prevention and control".(2)Using VOSsviewer to draw the knowledge map of the relevant literature in the field of set pair analysis,the evolution characteristics of set pair analysis are analyzed and identified.The results show that the set pair analysis theory is highly concerned bythe water resources scientific community,and three levels have been formed in this field,those are set pair analysis theory,set pair evaluation and prediction and set pair decision-making.Based on the evolution results of set pair analysis and combined with the literature of water resources set pair analysis,the research hotspot and future development trend of water resources set pair analysis are further revealed,those are water resources set pair analysis theory,water resource set pair evaluation and prediction,water resource set pair decision-making,correspondingly.(3)Using VOSviewer to draw knowledge map of relevant literature in the field of water resources carrying capacity,the evolution characteristics of water resources carrying capacity research are analyzed and identified.The results show that domestic research mainly focuses on water resource management,water resource carrying capacity evaluation,sustainable development,water environment carrying capacity,water security and water resources sustainable utilization.In addition,foreign research mainly focuses on water resource sustainable development,carrying capacity,climate change,water resource management,water quality and risk assessment.Combined with the analysis of the above research hotspots,this paper puts forward an evaluation method of water resources carrying capacity based on the five-elements connection number,and applies it to Shandong province and Heilongjiang province.(4)Using VOSviewer to draw knowledge map of Mr.Chen Shouyu's academic achievements,the evolution characteristics of Mr.Chen's academic research are analyzed and identified.The results show that his academic research features are converged in six research topics: "calculation of unsteady flow in rivers and canals","application of fuzzy set theory to hydrology and water resources","basic theory of fuzzy hydrology and water resources","fuzzy clustering-recognition-optimization unified theory ","variable fuzzy set theory","application of variable fuzzy set theory to hydrology and water resources",Chen's research methodology and research concept has important enlightenment and far-reaching influence on academic innovation research of water resources science.
