The temperature of metal increases sharply in the case of intense laser radiation,which involves a series of complex physical processes.It is very important to understand the mechanism of laser-induced metal damage in laser damage and protection.In this paper,ablation of aluminum plates induced by millisecond pulsed laser ablation was studied by using analytical,experimental and numerical simulation methods.The analytic method is used to derive the Fourier heat conduction equation,and the analytical solutions of the temperature at different boundary conditions are obtained.The temperature distribution of aluminum plate and the temperature variation of aluminum plate under laser irradiation are studied under the condition of one dimension.The results show that the internal temperature of the aluminum plate increases and the temperature transmits farther and farther under the laser irradiation.The experiment of ablation of aluminum plate by millisecond pulsed laser was carried out.The evolution of shock wave in the process of laser ablation of aluminum plate and the sputtering of the product were observed by high-speed pattern photographic technique.The time of aluminum plate breakdown was determined according to the obtained grain image,and the influence of laser energy and laser pulse number on ablation depth was analyzed.Two-dimensional numerical model of laser ablated aluminum plate has been established.Considering the phase transformation of aluminum plate and the theory of heat conduction,the laser ablated aluminum plate is calculated.The ablation morphology and temperature distribution of the aluminum plate are obtained.The breakdown time of the aluminum plate obtained by numerical simulation is consistent with the experiment.The influence of laser parameters on ablation of aluminum plate are analyzed.The two-dimensional model of multi-pulse laser is established.The isothermal phase transition method is used to calculate the laser irradiation process.The temperature distribution of aluminum plate under laser irradiation is obtained.The ablation morphology of the aluminum plate is calculated and analyzed.
