Asteroids are considered as living fossils in the solar system. Most of the main belt asteroids are type C class which may contain more information of early stage of solar system because of the far distance from the sun. There are only a few thousand asteroids that have detailed lightcurve data.Researchers have measured only a few hundred orientations of asteroids. This is still a long way for us to study of collision theory used the basic physical parameters of asteroid. Therefore, studying the physical parameters of specific asteroids have a great significance for the expansion of physical parameters of asteroids, and can help us to understand different kinds of asteroids. The asteroid(58)Concordia is a type C class main belt asteroid with a diameter of 92.19 kilometers and a period of 9.895 hours.Till now there is no any information on its shape and orientation. That is why we carried out photometric observation for asteroid(58)Concordia in 2000 and 2015 through the Yunnan Observatory Observation platform. We analyzed the period, orientation, shape of(58)Concordia by the convex inversion method. In the first chapter,We mainly introduce the research significance of various types of asteroids in the solar system, study methods for asteroid observations, future trends, and research hotspots. The light scattering theory and the photometry model were mainly introduced in the second chapter. From the basic concept of radiation,we understand how to establish the photometry model of asteroids and how to inverse the shape, spin parameters from photometric data by the convex inversion method.Beginning with asteroid physical parameters in chapter 3,we can grasp the specific implementation method of basic physical parameters of asteroids through the investigation of the basic physical parameters measurement method and the relationship between these basic physical parameters. At the same time,we have a sense of intuitive understanding the relationship between them.In Chapter 4,an application is presented. We analyzed photometric data of(58)Concordia which include the detail observations, data reduction of asteroid(58)Concordia,inversion results and conclusions. In the last chapter, based on the presented work,we look forward to possible future research directions. In order to have a better understand for the history of the evolution of the solar system,we not only get the exact physical parameters of a particular asteroid, but also understand the characteristics and causes of different types of asteroids from the perspective of statistical analysis.Thankfully, with the development of space missions and survey projects,we have continued to deepen our research in these two areas. We believe that in the near future,we will have a more complete and accurate understanding of the evolutionary history of the solar system and the planetary formation process.
