In recent years,the curvature attribute method has been widely used in the field of geophysical exploration,especially in the interpretation of seismic data.A better earthquake interpretation can be achieved using this method,which determin the fracture and undulation of the stratum structure through the bending degree of the seismic reflector.In the field of mathematics,curvature describes the degree of deviation of a curve or curved surface from a straight line or plane.In the field of gravity exploration,the density difference caused by the lateral unevenness of underground structures can produce gravity anomalies,thereby forming abnormal curves or curved surfaces with different degrees of curvature.Therefore,from a theoretical point of view,the curvature attribute method can be used to interpret gravity anomaly data.Curvature has different attribute characteristics,for example,there are 11 commonly used curvature attributes: Gaussian curvature,average curvature,maximum curvature,minimum curvature,maximum positive curvature,minimum negative curvature,morphological index,tendency curvature,trending curvature,and equivalent Line curvature and curvature.Each kind of curvature attribute has its special physical meaning and calculation method.Also,there are two main ways to calculate the curvature properties of gravity anomalies.The first one is to use gravity anomaly data for calculation directly;the second one is to use gravity gradient tensor data for calculation.The structure of this paper is as follows.First,we establish several simple and complex models,compare and analysis these 11 commonly used curvature attributes,and summarize the usage conditions and effects of various curvature attributes under different influencing factors.Therefore,a suitable calculation method is found to determine the location of the field source of the underground anomalous body and the boundary of the anomalous body.Then,we study the feasibility of using gravity anomaly data for curvature calculation in two-dimensional and three-dimensional space at the theoretical level.The purpose in this part is to further clarify the application scope and application effect of curvature attributes in gravity,and analyze the gravity anomaly data volume.Contains various information.In addition,from the mathematical definition of curvature,combined with trend surface analysis methods,the limitations and effects of commonly used curvature in the field of geophysical exploration,have been analyzed and compared in this paper.At the same time,more suitable method for calculating the curvature properties is also been found,while exploring the use of gravity anomaly data or gravity gradient tensor,which is used to calculate the conditions of gravity curvature and its factors can affect the result.
