The process of 30 w.t/a potassium nitrate produce 22 w.t/a ammonium chloride with the ion exchange method was completed by Qinghai salt lake limited company,and the15% ammonium chloride solution was converted into the solid ammonium chloride products adopting to the way of the triple effect evaporation generally.In order to economize the evaporation energy consumption and equipment investment,and take sufficient advantage of the regional climate characteristics,the ammonium chloride solution is discharged to the evaporation pool with anti-seepage treatment,which lend to the higher equipment cost and the sinotrans and sell problems from a large number of by-product ammonium chloride.Therefore,it becomes more urgent to solve the problem of ammonium chloride in the process of the potassium nitrate production.In this paper,the ammonium chloride decomposition technique was studied in detail to produce ammonia and then ammonia was used circularly to prepare ammonium nitrate,solving remarkably the sale and utilization problem of by-product ammonium chloride.Further,the reaction leftover(calcium chloride)can be stacked directly and sold,which avoid the pollution for the underground water system and the salt lake resources.The main research contents are as follows:1)In the process control step experiment,the control of calcium hydroxide as raw material to decompose ammonium chloride reaction steps for ammonia desorption;Studied the decomposition of ammonium chloride with calcium oxide as raw materials,calcium is the most appropriate size for 1700um-4000um;2)Calcium carbide slag as raw materials was studied in order to decompose ammonium chloride,it is concluded that effective calcium hydroxide content of carbide slag is only 73%.3)In the semi-dry method pilot experimental study,rake reactor was designed,studied the semidry process decomposition of ammonium chloride,The optimum temperature is125 ℃,The optimal concentration of ammonium chloride is 50%,The best reaction time is2h;Will be generated when ammonium chloride concentration is greater than 90% alkali type calcium chloride.4)In the amplification experiment,the reaction between the different concentrations of ammonium chloride solution and calcium hydroxide was proceed and the optimalconditions for 30%,Calcium hydroxide and ammonium chloride mole ratio was 1.1:2,ammonia recovery rate was 98%,and the decomposition rate of over 99.3% ammonium chloride.When ammonium chloride concentration is greater than 50%,the viscosity will increase of reactants,blocking tower phenomenon will occur,providing basic data for the process package designpreferably the effective data for industrial production.5)On the basis of the above experimental research,the process package that 22 w.t/a ammonium chloride was decomposed for ammonia and by-product dehydrate-calcium chloride was designed.
