To meet the demands of high water cut oilfield,deepwater oilfield,green field and marginal oilfield for compact and efficient oil and gas gathering and transferring process,foreign researchers have developed many technologies of efficient compact crude oil dehydration.Vessel Internal Electrostatic Coalescer?VIEC?as a crude oil dehydration technology has been successfully applied in the oilfield all over the world.Compact Electrostatic Separator?CES?as a kind of new electric dehydration technology has gradually shown its advantage of dehydration.Therefore,it is necessary for the domestic to carry out the fundamental research on the two new technologies.First of all,based on two sets of high frequency electric demulsification static experiment device,This paper carried out a research on the static emulsion breaking laws of oil/water emulsion in homogeneous or inhomogeneous electric field.For the moisture content 30%of white oil emulsion,influence laws of emulsion electric demulsification performance will be studied by experiment.At the same time,with the help of COMSOL MultiphysicsTM software,the numerical simulation study will be made on deformation,rupture,coalescence behavior in the high frequency electric field for water dispersed phase particles,The law of the electric field water particles change with electric field intensity will be studied through simulation.Subsequent Vessel Internal Electrostatic Coalescer is applied to indoor experimental research and oil field industry applications.In the indoor experiment,electric demulsification will be evaluated through analying the change of density or moisture content,and the optimal parameters of electric demulsification in certain conditions will be obtained.And the effectiveness and high efficiency of the VIEC technology in the aspect of electric dehydration of crude oil will be proved and the optimal electric parameters will be got.Moreover,based on the design of the H CES experiment device,influence law of electric dehydration effect in the different electric field parameters,flow and angle parameters will be studied.The optimal parameters of electric demulsification combination and the optimal separator angle will be obtained by experiment.Finally,the structure of CES engineering prototype processing 10 m3/h is designed.In this paper,research results of the numerical simulation and electric demulsification performance of oil/water emulsion has been shown,It lay the foundation for popularization and application of VIEC and CES technology in domestic oilfields,and making preparations for oil and gas gathering and transferring process in the development of new fields.
