6063 aluminum alloy tubes are widely used in aerospace,transportation,electrical power,household appliances and other industries.Continuous extrusion technology has many advantages,such as,high production efficiency,significant saving energy,production operations throughout the continuous,job completely continuous,products of any length.Therefore,continuous extrusion 6063 aluminum alloy tubes will be potential development.Continuous extrusion with double billets is applied to produce 6063 aluminum alloy tubing,and the forming process of 6063 aluminum alloy tubing has been analyzed in the article.Through experiments and numerical simulation techniques,many aspects has been studied,such as different velocity of extrusion wheel,the structure of confluent die,female die structure,relative position between die influencing on extrusion temperature,product performance of the organization,and the force on product.It provides a theoretical basis and better guide of the actual production to the 6063 aluminum alloy continuous extrusion with double billets process parameters and optimize the design of the die.The forming process of 6063 aluminum alloy tubing produced by continuous extrusion with double billets is simulated by HyperXtrude software.Structure of confluence die and female die and the relative location between the dies are optimized to improve metal flow uniformity and reduce pressure in the welding chamber and billet entrance.The results show that as the reducing of the confluence hole diameter and the increasing of entrance angle in the confluence die,the uniformity of the metal flow increases and extrusion pressure in feeding port decreases;As the increasing of exit angle,uniformity of the metal flow and extrusion pressure in feeding port increases As the angle of female die increases,the uniformity of the metal flow and pressure in the welding chamber increases.When the angle between dies is 0°,the uniformity of the metal flow and extrusion pressure in feeding port are better than others.By using 350 double chamfers continuous extrusion machinery,continuous extrusion of 6063 aluminum alloy tube is produced.It analyzes the temperature of die mouth,the force on abutment,the wheel torque and product microstructure and mechanical properties on different process parameters.The results show that with extrusion wheel velocity increasing,the temperature of die mouth rises from 550° to 600°;the tensile strength of the product reduces from 230MPa to 181MPa,elongation ratio of the product rises from 2.86%to 10.89%;the wheel torque reduces by 12.7%and the force on abutment decreases by 67.9%;Compressive strength of the product reduces by 37.2%,Drife expanding ratio of the product decreases from 33%to 18.3%;the microstructure is asymmetry,and grains grow up.The diameter of the confluence hole increases from 26mm to 45mm,extrusion temperature arises from 586 ? to 595?,the product of tensile strength reduces by 3.5%and elongation ratio decreases by 55.3%.Simulation results of temperature of die mouth and the.force on abutment under different extrusion wheel velocity,is consistent with the experiment results.
