| In the metal machining Process,cutting fluid is usually heavily used to decrease the friction between tool and workpiece,lower cutting temperature,reduce the workpiece roughness.At the different stages of the production,use,treatment of waste liquid and discharge,cutting fluid brings excessive resource consumption and environment pollution.With the development of public awareness of environmental protection,Green Manufacturing is imperative in manufacturing industry.On the basis of Minimum Quantity Lubrication and Electrostatic spray,a new green manufacturing method of Electrostatic spray Minimum Quantity Lubrication was presented in the paper.The charged droplets is of smaller surface tension,stronger adsorption and they are smaller and more uniform.The advantage of these characteristics are used to improve lubricating-cooling performance.Some works have been done in this paper.1.On the basis of setting droplets collecting device,the droplets in gas-fog flow were collected and detected on the different sections with the help of image recognition and detection technology,A Practical method was presented to detect the distribution characteristics of droplets sizes in gas-fog flow.The experiment results indicate that the average sauter(SMD)of droplets become smaller with the electrostatic voltage increasing.The distribution of the droplets diameters become more uniform and the spray quality is improved dramatically.2.APIV(Particle Image Velocimetry)experimental system of electrostatic spray was established.The jet flow field of electrostatic spray and general spray is was detected and analyzed by means of PI V.The experiment results indicate that the spray cone angle of the cutting fluid droplets charged is more larger than the uncharged under the action of electric field.The velocities of droplets charged increase more or less,and the velocities in the radial direction become larger too.In the main jet flow area,the velocities of the droplets become more uniform for electrostatic spray.3.The contrast experiments that adopt four different kinds of—dry cutting,Pouring cutting,MQL,SE-MQL to stainless steel 0Cr18Ni9 were completed.Research findings indicate that the lubricant effect of electrostatic spray is affected by the droplets charged,Corona Products,static electric fields.Compared with dry cutting,SE-MQL and MQL can improve the processing quality and reduce wear of cutting tool.With appropriate charged way and spray target distance,the lathe turning effects of SE-MQL can meet or exceed pouring cutting. |
