| Since the development of production has led to serious consequences in environment which include in air pollution and natural disasters,people have been paying close attention to the environment,and taking active measures to protect it.As far as chemical pollution,millions of compounds beset with human beings,animals and plants,which have caused serious threat to the lives.Such as organic solvent in the paint:Ⅰ.A lot of the applied organic solvents are highly inflammable;Ⅱ.Volatile organic compounds of the emission have a very negative effect on the environment,some of which are catalyses for ozone-depleting.Once these chemicals are released in abundance into the air,they will result serious damage to the environment.The consequences would be too ghastly to contemplate;Ⅲ.Because of exposed to volatile organic compounds for prolonged time,people will bring on diseases of nervous system.Therefore,substantial reduction in the use of organic solvent or reducing content of volatile organic compounds(VOC)polymerization is the key to study in the paper.In our life,latex products are usually used in coatings,adhesives,leather chemicals,textile and wallpaper.However,they are a stern challenge for researchers and users which is to control the VOC content in order to manufacture environmentally friendly products.Firstly,running water is used as a solvent rather than organic solvents in this project.In the AA/BA/St/VAC copolymer emulsion,by regulating the amount of the emulsifier,the initiator respectively in the polymerization,adhesive of polypropylene fiber tow filter rod was obtained,which is the relative hardness of 0.80-0.87,the viscosity of 17-41 mpa.s and the solid contents of 45%.Secondly,in order to solve the problem mentioned above,a natural olefin resin,together with monomer was added to the reaction system,which was initiated by KPS,to form environment-friendly AA/BA/St/Rosin ester emulsion with a stabilized ultra-low VOC content.Under the premise of a solid content of latex in 45%,the optimal reaction conditions were surfactants of 3%;the mass of ratio soft/stiff monomer = 1:1;the amount of APS is 0.5%;the amount of rosin ester is 2%;the heat preservation time is about 1 h.In this paper,through adjusting the content of rosin ester,reaction time,temperature and the addition of redox system,the goal VOC is controlled within 500 ppm and the conversion rate of the monomer is optimized.Thirdly,Due to the poor water resistance of the system,the applications such as the wallpaper paste are subject to many restrictions.N-hydroxy methyl acrylamide(NMA)as a cross-linking monomer and the BA/St monomer polymerize to form a stable network structure system,thus the system reduces the water absorption ratio of the latex film.Through testing for the system of BA/St/NMA,the result shows that its water absorption rate is less than 3%and has good water resistance. |
