Aluminum alloy thin-walled frame parts will have different degrees of deformation after milling.Shot Peening(SP)can improve the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy thin-walled frame parts, and can also correct the deformation of the components after milling. It has a positive effect on the deformation control and shape stability of the components.Through the shot peening treatment of aluminum alloy thin-walled frame, the deformation of the component was analyzed by deformation test,X-ray surface stress test, metallographic test, surface roughness test, microhardness test and SEM surface morphology test. The research work is as follows:1.The influence of the main SP process parameters on the surface properties of the material,as well as the mechanism of action and evaluation methods of these parameters, including SP particle size, air pressure and surface coverage, were analyzed, and the effects on surface stress, roughness, and hardness of the material were analyzed. It is considered that the change of the surface stress of the thin-walled material can help to have a positive influence on the processing deformation of the thin-walled material.2.The SP surface strengthened the distribution of internal stress and caused deformation of the components, but this deformation rebounded after natural aging. The experimental results show that under the premise of ensuring the expected deformation of the SP part, the dimensional stability of the SP part is directly related to the degree of plastic deformation of the surface layer material and the uniformity of the stress distribution. The results of the study show that improving the SP strength and surface coverage can improve the cold hardening effect of the material surface, improve the deformation resistance of the material, and contribute to the dimensional stability of the component.3.Under the SP surface strengthening process, with the increase of coverage, the surface roughness tends to be stable, the microhardness in the surface strengthening layer increases, the compressive stress strength is significantly higher than before SP,and the surface deformation uniformity is improved. The experimental data show that the increase in surface coverage under certain strength conditions not only improves the surface integrity properties of the material, but also contributes to the uniformity of the performance uniformity,Moreover, the surface integrity of the material after the SP surface coverage of 300%to 400%is basically saturated.
