Refined grain is an effective method to strengthen metal materials.In the numerous methods of grain refinement severe plastic deformation method was widely studied,because of its making large,compact material,simple process and many other advantages.But they cannot be applied for industrialized production because these methods were limited by many problems.Hence,the article presented a new continuous shear deformation method,and developed the equipment independently.explored the deformation behavior microstructure evolution and Performance changes of metal strip in continuous shear deformation.The article hoped to explore a new equipment for mass industrial production of fine grain material.This article selected 3mm-thick 1060 industrial pure aluminum strip and 2mm-thick T2 industrial pure copper strip as research subjects.The article obtained the following results by continuous shear deformation.After 6 passes continuous shear deformation the average grain size of pure aluminum's cross section and longitudinal section is 9.04?m and 10.36?m respectively.After 8 passes continuous shear deformation the average grain size of pure copper's cross section and longitudinal section is 2.36?m and 2.02?m respectively.Tensile strength upgrade from 247MPa to 331.72MPa.Yield Strength upgrade from 130.45MPa to 287.16MPa.The continuous shear deformation equipment presented by the article has certain effect on grain refinement of the metal material,which has simple operation,high productivity could be used for fine grain material production.
