Belt conveyor is a kind of common mechanical conveying device.It has been widely used in industrial materials transportation due to its characteristics of stable transportation,low energy consumption and long transportation distance.The belt transportation control system is a key part in the control of large-scale coal mine equipment.Its normal operation is directly related to the production efficiency and engineering safety of the mine.The majority of industrial start-stops using belt-based transport devices relying on manual labor and can only achieve simple operations.This wastes a lot of labor and increases security risks.Belt conveyor as a common mechanical transport device,its driving principle is to drive its continuous motion by friction.During the use of the belt conveyor,belt failures such as deviation,coal piles,slippage,and longitudinal tearing often occur,which seriously affect the production efficiency of the company and the personal safety of operators.Therefore,researching and designing a multi-belt machine cooperative control system that can run safely for a long period of time has high economicvalue and practical value.In this paper,the belt conveyor running status and belt conveyor fault information are displayed in a centralized manner,and the running status of the belt conveyor is remotely monitored through Industrial Ethernet,and the running status of the system is controlled in real time to ensure the safe operation of the belt conveyor.When the belt conveyor fails,the control system can promptly perform fault identification and corresponding voice alarm prompting personnel,and in combination with the control system itself to identify the type and location of the fault to take corresponding protective measures.This article mainly consists of five parts.The first part presents the overall design of the system.The basic structure and working principle of the belt conveyor are analyzed.The system requirements,system structure and system functions are described.The main control module is analyzed and selected.The second part is the software and hardware design of the belt monitoring system.The hardware design includes the selection and deployment of various sensors,protection devices,and the construction of hardware platforms.The software design includes signal acquisition,input signal address assignment,lower-level software program design,and host computer monitoring interface design.The third part mainly analyzes the common faults of the belt conveyor and its identification methods,such as belt deviation,longitudinal belt tearing,belt slipping,etc.;then a fault detection method based on speeddetection is studied.Part IV.The cooperative control rules of the monitoring system are described,including the introduction of the control mode in the centralized control state,the collaborative thinking under a single control,the description of the sensor control status,the voice alarm and the cooperative rule design of the tension control module.Finally,for the control system's operation and debugging work,including I/O port testing and system testing,the problems and difficulties occurred in the whole testing process are summarized and analyzed.
