Study On The Restructuring Of Iron And Steel Enterprises Under The Background Of Structural Reform On The Supply Side

As China continues to deepen its reforms,structural contradictions have become increasingly prominent in many economic fields.Since the reform and opening up,from the demand side,China’s economy has mainly depended on consumption,investment,and import and export to drive economic growth;from the supply side,the contradictions have been continuously accumulating,causing the most serious problem is excess capacity.The traditional manufacturing industry in China is the industry with the most concentrated production capacity,and the steel industry is particularly prominent.In 2015,the Central Leading Group meeting of our country put forward the “supply-side reform” for the first time.The most important reform task is to “remove production capacity” and the first thing that should be done is to provide supply-side reform to the steel industry.At present,China’s steel industry has the status of high assets and liabilities,continuous pressure on profitability,and a reduction in the proportion of fixed assets investment.One of the important measures for the reform of the supply side of the steel industry in China is to restructure iron and steel companies and realize the scale of steel enterprises in China through restructuring.To promote industrial concentration and other goals,and help promote the iron and steel industry to resolve excess capacity.Baosteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel,as companies supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council,and belong to large-scale steel companies in the steel industry in China,are the pilots for the supply-side reform of the steel industry in China.Therefore,the reorganization activities of Baosteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel were selected as research cases.Firstly,the motivation analysis was carried out from the external and internal levels,followed by a detailed analysis of the effects of the reorganization and the reorganization process of Baosteel and Wuhan Steel.The difficulties encountered in the analysis will be given and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions will be given.This disseration mainly studies the reorganization process of Baosteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel,as well as some of the difficulties encountered during the reorganization process.It needs to establish an effective integration mechanism for the restructured enterprises,so that the reorganized enterprises can achieve a true integration,rather than a simple number.increase.The experience summary of Baosteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel Group’s reorganization activities provides some experience for China’s iron and steel industry to follow the reform of the supply side.
