Study On The Influence Factors Of Residents’ Ecological Compensation Willingness To Pay Under The Condition Of Information Asymmetry

Our country clearly stated that "we must establish a market-based and diversified ecological compensation mechanism." This requires that in the construction of ecological compensation mechanism,it is necessary to highlight the characteristics of marketization and diversification.It is necessary to establish an ecological compensation market and incorporate ecological compensation into the scope of market regulation.However,there is an inevitable phenomenon of information asymmetry between the government and the residents of ecological compensation under the condition of market regulation.This has created a situation where the residents’ trust in the government is not high,and it also affects the residents’ satisfaction with the government’s ecological compensation.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the factors that influence residents’ willingness to pay for ecological compensation from the perspective of information asymmetry.At present,the province of Jiangxi Province has been included in the first batch of national ecological civilization pilot areas,and the scope of its administrative areas is generally consistent with the Poyang Lake Basin.The Ganjiang River Basin is the largest river in the Poyang Lake Basin.And the quality of ecological links in the Ganjiang River Basin directly affects the economic development in the downstream regions and Jiangxi Province.Therefore,the analysis of the influencing factors of residents’ willingness to pay for ecological compensation in the Ganjiang River Basin is conducive to understanding the residents’ attitudes towards ecological compensation,and will provide a facilitating role for improving the ecological compensation mechanism of the river basin and coordinating the sustainable development between the river basins.This article reviews the literature on ecological compensation,use the theory of information asymmetry,join the satisfaction of residents’ ecological compensation,use the conditional valuation method to design questionnaires,and adopt a combination of interviews with local residents and questionnaires to pay for the residents’ willingness to pay for ecological compensation in the Ganjiang River Basin.The survey resulted in 256 valid questionnaires.Using SPSS software and AMOS software to analyze residents’ willingness to pay for ecological compensation and influencing factors,the following research results were obtained:(1)Different residents have greater differences in their willingness to pay for ecological compensation under asymmetric information.Education level,family size,family average monthly income,and place of residence had a significant effect on the willingness to pay for ecological compensation,with a significance of 0.009,0.001,0.009,and 0.007.(2)Ecological compensation awareness,behavior and policies have a direct impact on residents’ willingness to pay for ecological compensation and the impact coefficients are 0.684,0.458 and 0.323,respectively.(3)Ecological compensation knowledge,satisfaction and subjective psychological factors have a negative impact on residents’ willingness to pay for ecological compensation,with impact coefficients of 0.4,0.495,and 0.447,respectively.(4)Under the condition of asymmetric information,the relationship between ecological compensation satisfaction and residents’ ecological compensation payment willingness is not significant.The ecological compensation willingness to pay is affected by the residents’ personal characteristics,subjective psychological internal factors and external factors of ecological compensation policy.The ecological compensation policy,subjective psychological factors,ecological compensation knowledge,and ecological compensation behavior have mutual influence.According to the research conclusions,this paper also proposes suggestions for reducing information asymmetry in the process of ecological compensation.It will help improve the residents’ satisfaction with ecological compensation and promote Jiangxi Province to take the lead in establishing an ecological compensation mechanism.And it has promoted the reform of the ecological civilization system in Jiangxi Province and the development of innovation and development in Jiangxi Province.
