The development of silk has a history of more than 5000 years,in the long history of 5000 years,the Tang dynasty is the peak of the development of each period.In this paper,the brocade pattern of Tang dynasty as the research object,the full development of silk art,analysis of its development history and factors,people’s aesthetic orientation and cultural connotation.As a traditional auspicious pattern in China,Tuan pattern was widely used in Tang dynasty.besides silk,Tuan pattern was also used in porcelain,bronze,gold and silverware and other articles of daily use.With the development of history,its decorative theme has been evolving from the original beaded cluster pattern to the plant cluster flower,animal cluster flower and so on.This paper first introduces the development of Tang dynasty group pattern origin:first,the use of dating method,introduced the Tang dynasty group pattern pattern structure,theme,pattern changes.Second,in-depth discussion,the historical factors affecting the evolution of the pattern.Secondly,it introduces the usage of tuanhua in Tang dynasty.Thirdly,the deep analysis of the cultural connotation and aesthetic implication of the group pattern evolution is closely related to the Chinese traditional harmony culture.Finally,the author looks forward to the inspiration and application redesign of the group pattern to the present art design.Group pattern is the perfect combination of traditional culture and foreign culture,developed into Chinese traditional patterns,today’s art design should also be based on Chinese and western,innovation,improve the cultural connotation and aesthetic connotation.The study of Tang silk patterns,because silk is the perfect combination of technology and art,its technical aspects,weaving clever composition flower controls the pattern changes,which directly enlightened the early telegraph and computer programming design.In terms of art,the change of graphic design has been affecting the development of clothing culture.even decorative design is applied to bronze and porcelain,which not only shows the status and characteristics of users,but also directly expresses people’s aesthetic taste and love of art.Silk also conquered the east and west,opened up the silk road,silk design has become the most important and most respected art design category.
