Due to the long time and large area exploitation with a high strength formed the bulk mining subsidence areas, while the coal industry for Chinese economic and social development has made outstanding contributions. With the land resources increasingly scarce, mining subsidence areas often plan for the government project. Before the project designing and construction, designers need to evaluate its stability for the abandoned underground coal mine based on the prediction residual deformation in the region.Forecasting results will directly determine the reasonableness of the stability evaluation. Therefore,it has important theoretical and practical values to study the prediction model for residual deformation in mining subsidence areas.Based on the analyzing space source, mechanism and influencing factors bring about residual deformation in mining subsidence areas by longwall caving method of mining.Applying Universal Distinct Element Code established numerical simulation model, which simulation and study the mining overburden and surface movement form and stabilized distribution associated geological and mining conditions from Tiefa Xiaonan Coal Mine, respectively.Based on the overburden,we can divide it into cantilever disturbance zone, masonry beam instability zone and caving rock creep compaction zone.Put the residue subsidence of overlying strata considered certain mining thickness for quantitative analysis in order to establishment of equivalent mining thickness model.Establish the mining subsidence prediction residual deformation model combines with stochastic medium theory and program design and operate by MATLAB.Finally,it was tested that the completeness and feasibility of prediction model, which is mining subsidence residual deformation for by an engineering example. The results show that the prediction model for residual deformation in the study has certain guiding significance and application value.
