Paper based on the current insulation riser in insulation materials research and development under the background of space is relatively narrow,proposed use of air gap in insulation riser further enhance riser insulation project.Using air in high temperature with good thermal insulation effect and easy access,the air gap insulation in Solid Works design is adopted.The hollow structure in the riser can effectively reduce the heat transfer between the mouth and wall,and establish a mathematical model of the ingot heat transfer in the riser.In this paper,the Pro CAST software is used to calculate the air gap width of the air gap in the air gap between 0mm,10 mm,25mm,30 mm and 40 mm,and the influence of air gap heat transfer and the solidification process of the steel ingot.The results show that air gap in insulation riser insulation heat preservation performance is superior to the traditional riser.Calculation and analysis on the basis of the width of air gap in the 25 mm air gap in insulation riser for steel ingot riser in the heat preservation performance is best,in order to determine the optimized insulating riser in the air gap width is 25 mm.In 25 mm of unit gap inserted at different quantity and low degree of black plate thickness to 1 mm double and multilayer air gap formation,using thermal shielding principle 4 power calculation of the obtained after flashboard riser significantly improve the effect of thermal resistance reducing radiation heat,making the average heat flux density decreased significantly.Implementation from single to plural air gap in insulation to further improve the riser on the heat preservation effect,at the same time,the calculation results further proved with inserted into the low degree of black plate number increase riser insulation also will increase.According to the insertion of a low black degree plate,the thermal insulation of the air gap in the double layer is formed to optimize the riser height to improve the yield of ingot.And calculate the riser height is 350 mm,340 mm,330 mm,320 mm,310 mm and 300 mm of steel ingot solidification process of the heat preservation effect.The results show that the ingot of 11 t ingot is improved by inserting the air gap heat insulation at different height of a low black degree plate,and the shrinkage cavity is deepened after reducing the feeding height,but still has a good harvest rate and small internal shrinkage size.It can increase the height of the riser from 350 mm to 300 mm and increase the ingot rate of ingot by 1.92%.
