In this thesis,we consider the method of splitting operators in conjunction with pseudo-spectral methods for the rod-coil equation,which is a 4-dimensional problem(space 1D + chain length 1D + orientation 2D).We use fast fourier transform for the space and sphere harmonic function transform for the orientation.We choose the steepest descent method as an iterative method to update the field function and adjust calculation cycle.According to numerical simulation,finally,we get nematic phase,disordered phase,double Smetic-A phase,double Smetic-C phase,monolayer Smetic-A phase,monolayer Smetic-C phase,Smetic-OB phase and Smetic-SP phase and we study the effect of the rod hardness A on the phase behavior. |
