Land use change and its derived ecological impact have always been the hot topics in academic research.Affected by the mining activities and regional urbanization,after the Tangshan earthquake,ecological environment problems caused by strong land use change in the area need to be taken seriously,particularly,the ecological benefits change of the coal mining subsidence area in Lunan District of Tangshan should be studied more.Thus,the study took the main urban area of Tangshan City(Lunan District,Lubei District)as the study area and the timeline of restoration and management of mining subsidence area(Nanhu Park Ecological Project)as the research period,three remote sensing images(1996,2006 and 2015).With the help of ENVI and Arc GIS software technology,the paper studied the temporal and spatial variation of surface ecological material quantity,urban thermal environmental effect and ecological value under the background of land use change(land area change,spatial distribution change)of Tangshan City,hoping to provide some reference for the sustainable development of the future study area.Affected by the decrease of agricultural land area,during the study period,the Net Primary Productivity of the study area decreased by 4.45-2?? mcg(total amount decreased by 755.30t),and the carbon sequestration and oxygen release decreased by 6.523-2?? mcg,4.744-2?? mcg(total amount decreased by 1107.149 t,805.199t),the soil conservation decreased by 16.136t/(km2?a))(totally decreased by 2738.763t),and the vegetation water conservation decreased by 5160t/km2(However,due to the large increase of artificial greenland area,it increase by 1050700t).Affected by the expansion of urban areas and the increase of construction land area,the mean surface temperature of Tangshan City increased by 0.46?/a during the study period,while the urban green island area decreased by 9.10km2 overall.Affected by the decrease of the amount of ecological material,the ecological assets per unit area decreased by ?3742300/a,and the sustainable development degree of the area decreased.Affected by the ecological construction of Nanhu Lake,the decrease rate of various ecological contents was decreasing.The strong urban heat island area had been reduced in the study interval by a total of 14.42km2.Regional imbalances in sustainable development have improved.The study showed that with the progress of ecological civilization construction in the whole society,the urban development process should focus on controlling the expansion of construction land,strengthening the protection of agricultural land around the city,and rationally planning to increase urban greenland,and increase the land cover diversity surround the construction land,to alleviate the redution of ecological material quantity caused by the drastic reduction of agricultural land and the land surface warming under the influence of the construction land accumulation.
