CAD model is used as CAPP data source to extract geometric information and manufacturing information,which can be convenient for process planning.And how to quickly and efficiently program in the CAM system,is one of the issues to be solved to achieve digital design and manufacturing integration.In this thesis,CAD/CAPP output information can be analyzed by the NC aided programming system based on machining feature.The data obtained could be directly used to drive tool path automatically generated by UGCAM.Machining feature recognition method and feature process automatic reasoning method analysis are introduced in KM3DCAPP-M system.The workflow of automatic analysis of process information and the mapping of the analyzed data are explained.The analytic method of geometric elements of simple feature and complex groove feature processing is analyzed.The simple feature analytical objective is to seek the key limit point of the tool path.Rotation class features,hole features and chamfer features are explained taking as examples in the simple feature.Complex groove feature analytical goal is to find the tool envelope.The method of machining geometric analysis of the residual material and the contour design method for the position of the T-cutter machining referring to the tool diameter are described in detail in the complex groove.The method of using the visualization processing tool for the development of groove is introduced.The key methods of tool path automatically generated based on UGCAM are thoroughly analyzed.The method of determining the coordinate system is explained.The machining geometry specification strategy is described.The method of machining feature correlation operation is proposed.Finally,on the UG NX 8.0 platform,the secondary development technology of UG is used to develop the NC aided programming system based on machining feature.The system is applied to the mobile phone shell parts.The usability of the system is verified.
