During mine hoisting,tension,torsion,bending and water pouring can cause the multiaxial fretting corrosion fatigue of steel wire,which results in friction wear,fatigue damage and electrochemical corrosion.These factors affect the wire rope life.Therefore,study on multiaxial fretting corrosion fatigue damage mechanism of steel wires has great theoretical significance on prolonging the service life of hoisting rope and ensuring the safety and reliability of mine hoisting.In this paper,a multiaxial fretting corrosion fatigue test apparatus of steel wires was taken.Multiaxial fretting fatigue behaviors of steel wires in different media were studied by comparison.The influence of fatigue cycles,contact load and torsion angle at crossing angle of 90°and 26° in acidic solution on hysteresis loops,wear coefficient,wear mechanism,electrochemical corrosion characteristic and the fatigue life during the multiaxial fretting corrosion fatigue of steel wires were carried out.Meanwhile,the effect of crossing angle on multiaxial fretting corrosion fatigue damage mechanism of steel wires in acidic solution was discussed.The results indicate that the wear of fatigue steel wire is the most serious in air environment,and the multiaxial fretting fatigue life is the shortest.Under corrosive solution,the wear,corrosion and fatigue damage of steel wire is the most serious in acidic solution.In acidic solution,When the crossing angle is 90°,with the increase of contact load and torsion angle,wear and corrosion are more serious,and the multiaxial fretting corrosion fatigue life is present a decreasing exponential relationship.When in acidic solution with crossing angle of 26°,the fatigue crack propagation become more serious with the increase of fatigue cycles.As the contact load increases,wear and corrosion are more serious,meanwhile multiaxial fretting corrosion fatigue life also presents a decreasing exponential relationship.While in acidic solution with different crossing angle,fretting regime,wear mechanism,crack propagation and the multiaxial fretting corrosion fatigue life show different rules.
