Due to significant geometric characteristics,involute beveloid gear has obvious application advantages and is widely applied in industry.However because the manufacturing accuracy cannot meet the requirements,or else the production cost is too high,its application scope is limited greatly.Aiming at this problem,this paper proposes the generating grinding method with conical worm wheel to improve processing precision,meanwhile combines the method with CNC grinding machine to improve the machining efficiency and reduce production cost.This paper has certain theoretical significance and important practical application value.The main contents of the paper are as follows:Firstly,the grinding method with conical worm grinding wheel is proposed and the mathematical model of conical worm wheel is established.Focusing on geometric characteristics of beveloid gear,analyze the counterpart rack of beveloid gear,based on the principle of tooth surface formation establish the mathematical model of conical worm wheel and prove the necessity of conical worm wheel as a tool.According to the parameters of counterpart rack,solve the cone angle of conical worm wheel,and derive the calculation formula of conical worm's parameters,such as lead and the tooth profile angle,meanwhile analyze the meshing relationship between worm wheel and gear,and derive the relative speed calculation formula of grinding wheel and gear movement.Secondly,the grinding movement motion model of conical worm wheel and the dressing model are established.The calculation formulas of the initial position and installation angle in the process are derived,the electronic gearbox model in grinding is given,the movement trajectory of conical worm wheel is planned,and the work-piece additional movement is analyzed.At the same time,based on the characteristics of the conical worm wheel,the worm wheel dressing model is established,the meshing relationship between worm wheel and the dressing roller is analyzed,and the calculation formulas of the parameters needed in the process of dressing are deduced.Thirdly,the proposed grinding method with conical worm wheel is verified through both three dimensional simulation method and digital calculation simulation method.Establish the worm wheel's model in the SolidWorks by solid modeling,and write program to simulate gear tooth surface by Boolean computation,which is processed by designed conical worm wheel.Then analyze the feasibility of grinding method according to compare the gear tooth face with standard tooth face.On this basis,use digital calculation simulation method in MATLAB to calculate the contact-mark of the worm wheel and gear,then project the contact-mark onto the cross section for getting the gear profile,finally compare the profile with the standard profile to obtain tooth surface profile error figure,analyze the manufacturing accuracy of the grinding method.Finally,combining with YW7232 CNC worm wheel grinding gear machine design the process flow of beveloid and develop the function module of processing.The motion mechanism of NC worm wheel grinding machine is explained and the production process of beveloid gear is designed,then the interface function module of grinding is developed,and the grinding method is integrated into the CNC worm wheel grinding machine by man-machine interaction to realize the automatic engineering application in machine tool.
